Doesn't Umberti now off a model called "el padrone" (or something like that) . Where they take some of their SAA off the line and send them to there custom shope and have them tuned up?

Redneckhunter. I think part of the problem might be the twist rate from what I have read, you probably need a heavier bullet. I have the same problem with an H&R 243, it will key hole 100 grain stuff ...

If your friend just wants to try the gun out, he might look at Black Hill Ammunition. They use cast bullets and have good accuracy.

Go for the 10/22. I have beat the crap out of mine and it still works great. Every time I go out on the property, it goes in the back of the Gator. Great for snakes and trutles.

Thanks. I guess I need to try some 158 grain bullets. The Marlin and my Python are not the primary guns I use for deer but if I am out in the woods with them and a deer happens along I want to be sure ...
