well the 500 will kick a bit more than a 357 but a 357 for deer, not saying that it wont get the job done with a well placed shot, just one of the guys that i hunted with this year used a 44 mag that ...

if you need to buy a gun go with the 500 mag that is what i used for deer hunting this year

Well the best i can do is a few squirrels with my 308 shooting some AP rounds, a sparrow with my 9mm beretta 92 and Pdogs with my .50 BMG

Well to be honest most kills with the 50 BMG the mound was hit and the flying rocks killed the pdog, as for using the AR-15 my longest kill was at 835 yards and no that was not a one shot kill the win ...

I use a Bushmaster AR-15 with a heavy 20 inch barrel with 55gr Vmax, Rem 700 LTR in 308 with 168gr match bullets and just for fun i take my .50 BMG rifle shooting 750gr Amax bullets
