I would like to publicly express my gratitude for the blessings and challenges that I have experienced this past year in general, and the last month or so specifically. Shortly before Thanksgiving, my wife and I both caught the chinese flu. A good friend also got it at the same time. I had quite a struggle with it, but managed to stay out of the hospital, despite a trip to the insta-care, and emergency room. By the luck of the draw, or more specifically, I got there first that day, I was able to get the monoclonal anti-body treatment. I believe that this helped me in my recovery. My wife didn't have as sever breathing difficulties as I did, and was able to recover on her own. My good friend wasn't so lucky. I'm not sure what treatments he was able to get, but he never made it out of the hospital. It took him in less than two weeks. I was able to attend his funeral services.
A couple of hours after the funeral, my younger sister suddenly died from a very aggressive pneumonia unrelated to the chinese flu. She leaves behind her husband, two children, and a tiny granddaughter.
While these events have been unpleasant and tragic, I was given the opportunity to witness the goodness and generosity of many people. My neighbor that was willing to take me to the emergency room at 430 am, because my wife wasn't able to drive. And the many others that brought over meals and offered their support in many other ways.
I am grateful for good people.

Glad you were blessed, Loke. Prayers for you sister's and friend's families.
Just for general interest, were you vaccinated? I have several friends that had bad bouts with COVID that were vaccinated. The monoclonal anti-body treatment helped them. Reports from UK and Israel are showing Pfizer's booster is effective for about 10 weeks with omnicom.

Loke…my heart goes out to you on the loss of your sister and your friend mate. Please pass my condolences on to both families. They are in God’s care now and no longer suffering.
I’m glad to hear that both you and your wife recovered from this insidious Chinese Virus. Be well and stay safe.

Very very sorry to hear that Loke. Glad some friends and neighbors were able to pitch in and help somewhat. Its a rough time of year to loose kin and friends for sure.
Was it your sister that works at the Timp Hospital? I have an appointment there in just a few days.
