I don't know how much work it would be but I seem to recall on one site that I visit that someone was making their own black powder. I was interested, even though I don't shoot black powder, so I did some research and found lots of information on how to make it. I know it would be a last resort for me but it is possible.

I think it would be nice to know how to make some crude black powder "just in case" (assuming the materials to make it can be found during a "just in case" scenario), but I don't think I'd want to do it unless I had to. Might blow myself up!!

Remember--black powder is considered a "high explosive".

I have a formula for black powder. It is not so problematic to make, it is more in the strage and geading. You have to crush it to get the different grades. Smile
