A little bit of tweaking of the sights mate and you have a head shot on rats no problems.

I use a Gamo shadow 1000 .177 ran at 1000fps when new its now 4/5 yrs old i ran it across the chrony the other day and and still shoots 935fps avg groupings with it at 25 mtrs are 1".
Taught my kids to shoot using a webley .177 and the s/s 12g.

Got my new air rifle toy last Thursday shot a few test shots today. The rifle is the Eun Jin Sumatra 2500 500 cc. Here's a pic of the best groups. shot today on my 40 yd range. The aiming dots are .75".



The pellets were the Beeman Kodiak 21 gr thumpers. Don't know what the velocity was. In the high power mode the rifle is supposed to spit that pellet out at 1050 fps so, 800 fps wouldn't surprise me.
