Yuck Just bought a 7.62X54 .Anyone have one, or have any comments about one ? Have'nt had a chance to shoot it yet, but if I can get it to shoot halfway decent,I will be my Varmint gun. Did'nt buy the Carbine.Mine has the 27.500" barrel.

27.5 inch barrel? Yer going to need a red flag on the end of that. Let us know how the shooting goes and with photos...

If you can't get it to shoot just reach out a little and wack them on the head with that long barrel. Very Happy Just a guess on my part but the bigger the varmint the happier you will be with a Negant.

Some of them shoot well if you can find a bullet to fit the bore. Slug the barrel and find out if it fits any standard bullet. If not then try your hand at paper patching lead bullets.
