Has anyone got any experience with the Mossberg Tactical .22?

I haven't seen that one before! A buddy has the S&W M&P .22 and its nice. I have the SIG 522 and I like it. Our range has a "tactical rifle" match with a .22 class that I want to try.

One thing I'd keep in mind is the capacity and availability of spare magazines.

First, I've heard of it. I'll look for it at the gun show today. Not sure I like it not being a flat-top

I do love my S&W M&P .22LR. Its already paid for itself, especially for practice shooting from the off-side, shooting on the move .... just plain shooting! You can't load the magazines fast enough!!!

Ya ..Just wondering...Looking for more variety than a 10/22 at a good price. Besides it'll be good practice for when I get a AR

If you are going to practice magazine drills, check and make sure that the bolt locks back in the last round and it has a similar AR-style charge handle. S&W M&P does. Most AR-22s don't have these features. If you are patient and check around the web, you can get the M&P for $399 including shipping. I got mine at a gunshow for $408. When I saw it, I just had to take it home. No Mossberg Tactical 22s at the show today.
