I have seen some pic's of a winchester 88. what a sleek looking gun. What I can't see from the photo's is where the emptys eject. It's overall lines are very similar to the old BSA airsporter. I know they were disscontinued in the 60s but are they very hard to come by on the used market? I wouldn't mind one.

These rifles show upon the used gun racks and at gun shows and the prices keep going up. The most common are those in .308 Winchester caliber. When I worked part time in a gun shop, I helped a fellow get used Model 88s in .243, .284, .308 and .358. The rounds eject upward and to the right out of of the receiver so they will clear a scope. All the best...

Was my first gun a model 88 358 .. If I'da had $450 at the time , there was a nice one at a gun show a year or so back ..
Wish they wud resuurect the 88 and 100 , they were both light years ahead in innovation and style which is what did them in ..

They eject sideways like the SAKO Finnwolf---best lever ever made IMO.
Look at www.auctionarms.com to find one.
